Copper with Care

Preserve the glow, protect the craft.

Product Care

  • First use : Rinse your copper product thoroughly with warm water and mild soap or salt water before first use.
  • Hand wash only : Always wash by hand with lukewarm water. Avoid dishwashers to preserve the finish.
  • Dry thoroughly : After washing, dry completely with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and tarnishing.
  • Avoid acidic liquids : Do not store acidic beverages (like citrus juices or vinegar). Copper vessels are meant for still water only.
  • Clean only when needed : Copper is self-sterilizing and requires minimal maintenance. Clean only if you notice dark spots or patina.
  • No harsh abrasives : Avoid steel wool or abrasive scrubbers. Use a soft sponge or cloth instead.

Each piece tells a story—of the day you first brought it home, the care you gave it, and the way its perfectly imperfect character grows with time. Learn simple cleaning and care tips to keep your copper shining, so these soulful pieces continue to inspire and delight for years to come.

Cleaning Tips

  • Cleaning from inside : Add 1 tablespoon of citric acid powder to your copper vessel. Pour hot water up to the neck and let it sit for a few seconds. Once the patina and dark spots fade and the inside shines, rinse thoroughly. Wash again with lukewarm water. Your vessel will look like new!
  • Cleaning patina around the lid : Use a squeezed lemon with some salt to wipe inside the neck and thread. Rinse with clean water afterward.
  • Important reminder : If using vinegar or lemon mixtures for cleaning, avoid storing them inside the bottle for long periods as they react strongly with copper. Citric acid powder is mild and a safer choice for cleaning copper vessels.
  • Cleaning copper from outside : The exterior is coated with food-grade lacquer to prevent oxidation and discoloration. Avoid cleaning the outside to preserve the lacquer, as cleaning can wear it off over time.
