Material & Craftsmanship
Our copper products are crafted from over 98% pure copper. Each piece is expertly shaped from a single sheet of copper, creating a seamless, joint-free design. No aluminium is used in the copper body.
The exterior is finished with a food-contact suitable lacquer that helps protect the surface against tarnishing and discoloration and preserve its shine. Inside, our copper vessels remain uncoated and untreated, allowing the drinking water to come into direct contact with the copper surface.
Independently Tested by TÜV Rheinland
A representative Forrest & Love copper bottle was subjected to extensive laboratory testing by TÜV Rheinland. The test programme included material composition, specific migration of metals, lead and cadmium testing, nickel testing, sensorial examination and tests relating to the silicone sealing ring and exterior lacquer. All test categories listed in the TÜV Rheinland test summary received a PASS.
The specific migration analysis examined a broad range of metals, including copper, lead, cadmium, nickel, aluminium, arsenic and mercury. The results of the submitted sample were within the limits stated in the test report.
The silicone sealing ring was also tested for global migration, volatile organic substances, remaining peroxides and extractable substances, with the corresponding test categories receiving a PASS.

We take pride in our largely handmade production process, rooted in traditional copper-working techniques passed down through generations. Skilled craftsmanship and careful use of materials remain at the heart of how our pieces are made.
Copper scraps and unused material from production are collected and returned for recycling wherever possible, helping us make thoughtful use of the materials involved in creating each piece.
